DESIGN
I have been using Adobe products since I first started editing video in high school. I possess advanced fluency and skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Audition and After Effects and have incorporated the software into all my major workflows.
PROTOTYPING
I am a natural collaborator with commitments to low-fidelity design as part of rapid agile processes and co-design principles. A relative newcomer to Figma, I bring years of wire-framing practices and participatory methods to Figma's digital interface.
COLLABORATIVE WORKFLOWS
I enjoy the experience of team and also the science behind it. My use of digital tools has supported me as a cross-functional resource within large institutions, enabled me to lead change within slow-to-innovate sectors, and has been instrumental for building international, distributed project teams.
DATA FOUNDATIONS
My experience as a data journalist has transformed my storytelling frame, and enables me to access enormous databases for retrieval, analysis and reproduction of information in novel ways and for compelling civic purposes.

Brochure Design
Our flagship product required a full year of development and careful timing in anticipation of significant services expansion and to celebrate leadership transition. I directed the editorial process from initial layout to final print, contributing foundational copy. The result captures a world class portfolio of work.

Story Editing
This festival short developed from a character vignette drawing from experiences of sheep herders in rural Mongolia. I shot the footage and worked closely with an editor to achieve story texture and capture the grandeur of countryside landscapes.
The final product depicts an emerging partnership to develop access to surgical systems to improve public health.
"Affordable Technologies Promote Access to
Remote Surgical Training"
The University of Utah teamed up with GIBLIB to conduct live VR 360 broadcast of its laparoscopic training in Mongolia, demonstrating the power of ultra-low-cost laparoscopic technologies in tandem with ultra-affordable Google Cardboard. The results? 47 countries from Mexico to Singapore tuned in to watch the laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation taught by US & Mongolian Surgeons.
Even the Minister of Health ran her Google headset over to the country's Prime Minister.
Utah & GIBLIB took live questions from a global classroom, replying to questions about the operation in real time.To broacast a clear signal, IT officers at the hospital strung CAT5 wire from across a courtyard to the next building where the OR was, and every computer disconnected from the internet so signal strength would be at maximum strength.Of 952 unique views, 1 in 6 people watching did so from Mongolia and the same number tuned in from the University of Utah.
The significance of affordable technologies to disrupt cost while radically expanding access cannot be overstated for Mongolia. We hope the same for many other countries, even our own.

This website overhauled a placeholder page for our unit with an information-rich presentation. To produce the site, I directed the review sequence from concept layouts to publication and provided all foundational copy. As webmaster, I aligned to cutting edge design principles to reflect a vibrant brand identity. The result placed our services in front of highest executive leadership within our institution and established an effective top-of-funnel channel, positioning our unit as an obvious front-door and way-finding support for analytics services within the University.
Website: Center for Global Surgery
This website preserved and updated the online expression of our project portfolio at a time of dynamic CMS and server transition. The work displayed proved durable for a subsequent four-year period and synthesized leadership perspectives from multiple Director stakeholders, and helped establish the Center for Global Surgery as an eminent recruitment destination and as a capable global collaborator with extensive implementation experience.

Executive Summaries
For high-value product sequences I produced a special battery of executive materials to support leadership synthesis and peer-sharing. Executive summaries like this one were exhibitions of strong editorial command and brand voicing.
